Written by the Convexity team, using AIMS360’s apparel ERP page as checked on 17 September 2026. Short answer: if you need PLM, production tracking, retailer EDI and accounting in one apparel-specific system, AIMS360 belongs on your shortlist and Convexity does not cover all of that. If the problem is knowing which styles and sizes to reorder, and when, Convexity is built for that part.

When AIMS360 is the better choice

AIMS360 describes PLM, production and sourcing, style-color-size inventory, wholesale and retailer EDI, omnichannel orders, warehouse and 3PL workflows, and accounting, all built for apparel. If you want that whole stack from one vendor, start there.

You work with the people who build it

Our founders and engineers run your onboarding and stay reachable after go-live. One of them ran purchasing and inventory at Wayfair; another built supply chain products at Microsoft. When something in your process is odd, you explain it once, to someone who can change the product.

We fit the software to your process

We start from how your team actually takes orders and buys stock, including the exceptions. Before we build anything, we tell you which parts are standard, which need configuration and which would be custom work, and we put that in the proposal.

AI that can act, inside limits you set

Convexity connects Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini to your records through MCP. Depending on the permissions you grant, an assistant can look into a stock problem, draft a purchase order or create a sales order from an emailed PO. Anything that spends money or leaves the building still goes to a person to approve.

Grow without hiring people to retype orders

The point is for the team you have to handle more orders, SKUs and suppliers without adding headcount just to rekey data or merge reports. How much that frees up depends on your data and process, so we measure it on your own workflow instead of quoting a number up front.

When Convexity is the better choice

Look at Convexity when the first problem is deciding what to buy at the SKU level, seeing sales orders and stock together, or getting your current ERP’s data into a purchasing workflow. If that ERP stays, start with Convexity alongside it.

An apparel test to give both vendors

  • One style with colors, sizes, prepacks and the exact unit conversion.

  • One wholesale order and one DTC order competing for the same stock.

  • One inbound vendor or production order that arrives partially, with a new date and an allocation call.

  • The EDI, 3PL, accounting or production records you cannot do without.

  • What happens when a size runs out, a pack is short or the customer changes the order.

Ask each vendor to walk the same case and say what is standard, configured, custom or unsupported, and which system owns styles, orders, stock and financial records.

Bring a style, an order and an inbound shipment. We will trace it through Convexity and tell you which apparel requirements need a closer look.
