Decide what each system owns first

Inventory software, an apparel ERP and an all-in-one suite can all track stock, but they solve different problems. Before you compare features, decide which system owns your catalog, customer orders, stock balance, purchasing decisions and accounting. Then test how records move between them.

Convexity vs spreadsheets, point tools and ERP suitesIs our current setup the problem, or one broken workflow inside it?You do not have to replace everything to fix purchasing.
Convexity vs AIMS360Do we need full apparel ERP, with PLM, production and EDI, or better inventory and purchasing?Convexity is not a full apparel ERP.
Convexity vs FishbowlDo we want a QuickBooks-linked system we run ourselves, or forecast-driven purchasing with setup done for us?Convexity replaces Fishbowl; it does not sit on top of it.
Convexity vs OdooDo we want one suite for the whole company, or depth on inventory and purchasing?Odoo covers far more apps. Convexity goes further on what to buy.

Comparison guides

Give every vendor the same test

  • One item with a stock unit, a case pack, a supplier minimum and a lead time that varies.

  • One customer order that needs an allocation decision, then ships partially or is cancelled.

  • One open purchase order whose date moves and that arrives short.

  • The systems involved, which one owns each record, how often data refreshes and what is allowed to write back.

  • A named person who can explain the exceptions and what is not included.

Ask each vendor to mark what is standard, what needs configuration, what is custom and what they do not support. If they have not shown it with your records, treat it as unknown.

Bring one workflow that is not working today. We will show you what Convexity would do with it and what should stay where it is.
