Shopify App Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Convexity AI, Inc. ("Convexity," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information in connection with the Convexity application (the "App") that you install and use from the Shopify App Store or through a Shopify store you own or operate (the "Store"). This policy supplements our general Privacy Policy and applies specifically to data accessed through the Shopify platform. By installing or using the App, you consent to the practices described herein.
1. Information We Collect from Shopify
When you install the App on your Store, we request access only to the data required to provide the App's inventory, forecasting, and order-management features. Depending on the permissions you grant, we may access and process:
Store information: your shop name, domain, store settings, currency, and locations.
Product and inventory data: products, variants, SKUs, inventory levels, transfers, and shipments.
Order and fulfillment data: orders, draft orders, order edits, and fulfillment order records.
Customer data: customer names, email addresses, and order history, where you have granted the relevant access scopes and where required to deliver order-related features.
Usage information: how you interact with the App, including features used and timestamps.
We access this data through Shopify's official APIs and webhooks using the access scopes you approve during installation. We do not request access to data that is not needed for the App's functionality.
2. How We Use Shopify Data
We use data accessed from your Store solely to provide and improve the App's features for you, including:
Synchronizing products, inventory levels, and locations.
Generating demand forecasts, replenishment recommendations, and inventory optimization insights.
Managing purchase orders, transfers, and fulfillment workflows.
Displaying analytics and dashboards about your Store operations.
Providing customer support and responding to your requests.
Maintaining the security, reliability, and integrity of the App.
We do not sell your Store data or your customers' personal information, and we do not use customer personal data to train general-purpose AI models shared with other merchants.
3. How We Share Shopify Data
We do not sell or rent Store data. We may share it only in the following limited circumstances:
Service providers: trusted vendors who help us operate the App (e.g., cloud hosting and infrastructure providers), who are contractually bound to protect your data and use it only as directed by us.
Legal requirements: when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Convexity, our users, or the public.
With your consent: when you explicitly direct us to share data with a third party, such as an integration you enable.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain Store data only for as long as the App is installed and as necessary to provide the App's features. When you uninstall the App, we stop accessing your Store data and delete or anonymize it within 90 days, except where retention is required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
We honor Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks and respond to the following automated requests from Shopify on your behalf:
customers/data_request — when a customer requests their data, we provide any personal data we hold about that customer to you, the merchant.
customers/redact — when a customer requests deletion, or 48 hours after a customer's data-erasure request, we delete that customer's personal data from our systems.
shop/redact — 48 hours after you uninstall the App, we delete your Store data from our systems.
5. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect Store data, including encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments. Access tokens issued by Shopify are stored securely and are used only to make authorized API requests on your behalf. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights and Choices
You can revoke the App's access to your Store at any time by uninstalling the App from your Shopify admin. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold, subject to applicable legal requirements. 7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
